What are Fellows of the AGD (FAGD)?
A general dentist who is a "Fellow" in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) has been recognized by other general dentists as a leader and exemplifies to other dentists the importance of quality continuing dental education. To earn the FAGD, a dentist must complete a minimum of 500 continuing dental education credit hours, pass a comprehensive exam and have been an AGD member for three continuous years.
Through a combination of state of the art technology, sensible treatment plans and genuine devotion to the unique needs of each patient, Dr. Corke preserves healthy teeth and gums, alleviates oral discomfort and improves the appearance of smiles on a daily basis. His artistic and technical skills have helped him give durable and beautiful results to thousands of patients. A biologic protocol is followed to keep his patient's safe from mercury exposure when removing mercury amalgam fillings. He is accredited by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology for mercury removal.
Children always loved to see Dr.Corke arrive in his dental van when he worked in the NY school system. He treated school children in underserved areas that had rampant tooth decay in his caring manner. Dr. Corke feels it is necessary to have certain skills and technology in order to treat children so that they will enjoy coming to the dentist.
Dr. Corke will see an infant as young as a few days old to evaluate for lip and tongue tie treatment to help with breastfeeding problems. He also treats children and adults for tongue and lip tie. Dentistry can be different today!
